circleindigo worked with an innovative department of UK government (recognised as world leaders in public sector digital innovation), responsible for the digital transformation of UK Government supporting them to develop and build internal facilitation capability and capacity and embed facilitation as a core competence.

Business need

What circleindigo did

  • Consulted to understand the organisational needs and worked with our client to develop and build internal facilitation capacity and capability as a core competence
  • Co-designed and delivered a series of 18 two-day core facilitation skills learning workshops
  • Provided Facilitators with a suite of tools and techniques to use when running facilitated interventions
  • Worked with the team to improve the quality of both design and delivery of facilitated interventions, both large and small, including the design of more engaging facilitated interventions

Outcomes

  • Upskilled and increased internal facilitation capability and capacity (approximately 200+ staff)
  • Supported the building of an internal facilitation community of practice and further embedded facilitation as a core competence
  • Contributed to development of a sustainable facilitative culture of participation and engagement across the department and pan-UK Government
  • Reduced cost and dependency on external facilitation resource
  • Won a globally recognised Intranational Association of Facilitators (IAF) Facilitation Impact Award (FIA) at Platinum level (2018)
